VNC server for Ubuntu 14.04
Today we bought a VPS server from VpsDime. It was really amazing how cheap these servers are. We needed a graphic user interface so we needed a tutorial how to install a VNC server which we used to connect to the PC and the graphical interface.
So there is a really good tutorial here: http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-install-vnc-server-on-ubuntu-14.04
If you follow it step by step without any modifications everything should be fine.
Just want to mention to you the following important thing: If it says: “Server is server1:1” that means that at ip address ending with port 5901. If it is “server1:2” that is port 5902. You need to remember that if you want to connect using the right port address.
We tried installing Teamviewer but it didn’t work for us so we ended just using the VNC as connection.
